Literally Me: Psycho-Mytho analysis of the Incel

IMG_2415

Why are dislocated young men so drawn to the ‘literally me’ archetype? Is this a chicken or the egg scenario, perhaps its market driven? Previously i have described how A16Z and Musk are trying to shape reality via Cognitive Warfare. Or how Epstein may have had a hand in creating the “Alt-Right” as we know it. Now i hope to elucidate how our modern mythos is shaped within the “Culture War” reaching as far back as Euripides ‘The Bacchae’.

The origin of the “Literally Me” archetype has its roots reaching far back into our common canon. The Tragedy of Euripides and Ovids Metamorphosis, book iii, Pentheus & Bacchus. The lore of the Man-Child Cult of Bacchus or Dionysus, is where we find the primordial Incel as we know him today.

If you would like to read Ovids account you can here. Otherwise here is Euripides tragedy in video form:

Here is the modern abridged version using memes:

Bacchus the PUA-Red Pill god literally carved out of marble, like he didn’t even need to bone smash or take peptides, like literally a god, became an aura farming mog-god, literally created a cult harem of bops and then Pentheus his NPC cousin who had zero rizz, no hoes, and no motion wanted to kill Bacchus because he was just jealous.

Jungs innovation: Puer Aeternus IMG_2416

A loving father gives of himself to raise his family. A puer enjoys complacency—embraces lethargy and shirks off responsibility. A loving father understands that he can’t hang out with his buddies to see his daughters dance recital. A puer engages in every form of escapism that strikes his fancy because no one depends on him. A loving father can compartmentalize a stressful day at work and not take it out on his family. A puer can’t stare a woman in the eyes because that would require commitment.

It is no wonder that the tragedy of Pentheus follows Narcissus in the Metamorphosis.

Pentheus, the senex (Latin: Old Man), is-in the drunken and hypnotized minds of the Maenads a stodgy old man that yells at the sky and tells Bacchus the puer Aeternus (Latin: perpetual boy) to grow up. In the end his cult members kill the father figure. This is Antichrist. Petersons Neo-Gastonian interpretation of Peter Pan

Despite the living tragedy that is Jordan Peterson—his Freudian-Jungian analysis of Peter Pan is directionally correct. The everlasting man-child is quintessential to understanding the modern incel. Here is a video describing the moral of Peter Pan:

** Peter Pan Doesn’t Understand Women

The following is an excerpt from the original 1911 Peter Pan novel, notice the bad boy dismissiveness of Pan towards Wendy:

” PETER PAN AND WENDY Of course she was very pleased to be asked, but she said, ' Oh dear, I can't. Think of mummy! Besides, I can't fly ' I'll teach you.' 'Oh, how lovely to fly.' 'I'll teach you how to jump on the wind's back, and then away we go.' ' Ool' she exclaimed rapturously. • Wendy, Wendy, when you are sleeping in your silly bed you might be flying about with me saying funny things to the stars.' 'Oo!' 'And, Wendy, there are mermaids' ' Mermaids! With tails?' ' Such long tails.' 'Oh,' cried Wendy, 'to see a mermaid!' He had become frightfully cunning. 'Wendy,' he said, •how we should all respect you.' She was wriggling her body in distress. It was quite as if she were trying to remain on the nursery floor. But he had no pity for her.”

Once Peter undermines Wendy’s familial relationship he promptly whisks her away to Neverland to mother over the lost boys. As Bad Boys and cult leaders do.

The following clip of Disneys 1953 rendition of Peter Pan really stitches the Senex-puer together.

The puer Peter is running away from Wendy who has caught a case of diarrhea mouth. But what is Wendy doing? She is trying to sew the Shadow (senex) to puer Peter. She is trying to make a man out of him while she lovingly babels away. This is what women do. They fall in love with a man and then they try and make a man out of him. This does not work as we see in Peter Pan. This gets us closer to our true origin of the Incel.

The True Origin of the Puer-Senex Dichotomy

Really this battle of the sexes is nothing new. The first “culture war” or “battle of the sexes” goes all the way back to the garden of Eden. The Liar through the woman created the first puer—Adam, by offering him knowledge (what satan later coined as “gnosis”) in eating of the fruit from the tree of good and bad. And rather than show repentance they hid from God and then Adam said:

9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to bewith me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.

Showing the same attitude of his new master—Adam blamed God for Eve. The puer was literally running away from the Senex, and when confronted, cursed his Father for giving him Eve when the responsibility lay squarely on his shoulders, you see Adam lived longer than Eve and knew that his father was Good and he only knew Good. Now Adam, and “mans glory”, Eve were to live in exile East of Eden to Neverland mythologically speaking. “Literally Me”

Whether it be Pan running away from his shadow, the unnamed everyman narrator controlled by Tyler Durden, the Baudrillardian Neo of the Matrix, the stoic Gosling of Drive or Blade Runner, the Psychopathic Bateman, the God complex of Bickle, or the sad and fitting end of the Joker. All of these disconnected Literally me characters elicit the puer within the male audience to run away from their senex. To integrate with their shadow. Post script: The Incel is the Modern Day Bacchae The Algorithm has given us a child!

We are living through a modern day synthesis of Narcissus and the Dionysian mystery cult. The Incel has found their God. And this myth to power is firmly and deeply entrenched in our collective Zeitgeist.

The scene of this world changes but the formula remains the same. Tragedies may go out of style but they often rhyme.
